Ocho Agaves It is a Mexican company dedicated to the cultivation of plant tissues "in vitro", which has the most advanced technology and experience in micropropagation processes and genetic improvement of agave plants and tropical crops such as coffee and cocoa.
What is micropropagation?
• Micropropagation is the process by which we can mass reproduce any variety of agave through the process of organogenesis (through micropropagated seeds or seedlings).
• For example: From one seed, Ocho Agaves can reproduce up to 400 seedlings depending on the species of the plant.
• Micropropagation is NOT cloning and are not considered Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs).
• “In vitro” means that the plant grows inside a container under sterile conditions and is provided with all the necessary elements that are needed in a NATURAL The plant needs nutrients, light, heat, etc. to grow and reproduce better than in the wild.

STEP 3: Agave planting and field advice
Ocho Agaves has qualified personnel with more than 30 years of experience in planting Agave Tequilana Weber and Agave Mezcaleros.
It has been proven by the experience of our Director of Operations that the micropropagated plant guarantees:
1.- Increase up to 10% in kilos per pineapple.
2.- Greater resistance to pests and diseases.
3.- Higher sugar content in pineapple.
4.- Faster growth than conventional suckers.
5.- Uniformity in crops.
STEP 1: Micropropagation Services
In vitro seedling of the following agave varieties:

The genetic selection of our parents guarantees a higher yield than conventional offspring and there is no genetic degradation.
*** It is important to mention at this point that all in vitro seedlings are certified by Senasica so they can be exported without any restrictions, there is no need for quarantine and they can be shipped anywhere in the world.
STEP 2: Micropropagated agave seedling development and growth services in a greenhouse:
This service develops the in vitro plant in a greenhouse so that it reaches a height of 20 cm and a width of 2.5 cm within 8-12 months, ready for planting. This guarantees a seedling with the best genetics, uniform size, and pest- and disease-free growth.
